Varanasi Junction (BSB), commonly known as Varanasi Cantt, is the city’s main railway station and one of the principal arrival points for travellers coming to Kashi. You are arriving in one of the world’s oldest continuously living cities—a place whose history reaches back more than two millennia, yet whose daily life still unfolds on the same riverfront, lanes and sacred spaces. Step outside the station and the journey changes quickly: autos and e-rickshaws wait for passengers, chai stalls work through the rush, and the road ahead leads towards Godowlia and the old city.
